My Feedback on CRED Bid Blast
I used to admire CRED App (Though I have still not understood what real purpose the CRED COINS serve)
After writing this post I had some after thoughts about the value and purpose of Cred Coins… please, see the bottom section of this post! So that you can see the video made this topic.
(the credit card payment app) when it 1st launched… I loved its graphic style:
The neo skeuomorphic☝🏼
And focusing on 1 thing… that was the credit card payment. It was function first…and… faff later.
But slowly … they got the BIG IDEA of GAMIFYING everything. See some examples below. 👇🏼
1.
And this App now looks like
Spinning Slots and bidding App
and in free space, you can also pay your credit card bills.
AMAZON
By the way Amazon also has a similar section called fun zone… but it’s hidden under UI layers and never shouts out on the users face.
And, Amazon always keeps functionality first… side experiments later.
PAYTM
Not everyone can emulate the Paytm kind of All in One business model. I am really amazed to see the amount of things you can accomplish in one App that is Paytm.
Though Paytm is also not flawless… 🚫 It doesn’t have a very active human customer support system. If some glitch happens you have no where to go… May be that’s why so many frauds are taking place… and Paytm platform is always in news for the same.
Let’s get back to CRED!
Recently, CRED has started a bidding feature for partnership products.
Since I use the App for paying bills, I also keep trying their all new features and campaigns to understand the new trends. Since I also work for digital products and service designs.
So this post grew out of my conversation and feedback with their customer support team.
When I 1st tried their newly launched Bid Blast Campaign.
I noticed quite a few flaws. So, I dropped these lines to them:
“Bid Blast Campaign has no transparency in the results... neither there seems to be any learning for the user to improve for the next Bid Blast.
The criteria is not clearly defined in your demo.... people who are winning are bidding in thousands like 23785... types.... and your demo shows 1 or 2 digit bids.”
“You are misguiding the user in the demo.
In my opinion, this is just a tool to burn user’s CRED COINS... Especially, each bidding set requires a lot of cred coins... like 10000, 20000, 30000 "
They have now, priced the bidding ticket set with some reasonable sense. ✔
“From your campaign this is also not clear... if you are bidding with actual CASH or CRED COINS.”
Now they have started putting some indicators… but not very clear… ❔
Some naive user may think the bidding is with 🪙 CRED COINS, and may put unrealistic bid. Let’s say 100000 lakhs for a gift hamper just worth of 30000 rupees… and he gets to pay 1 Lakh rupees of actual money. 💰🙃
“CRED is becoming a gaming App rather than an actual helping tool.”
They took this comment in a positive ways and got in touch with me and tried to integrate suggestions made for Bid Blast Campaign.
They hastily half implemented fixes… and closed the issue ticket. Stating as issue resolved, and sent me a mail in this regard to fill a survey. Asking me, that I was satisfied with the customer care support.
I clearly, stated as I really felt:
“It’s not resolved.... I participated in iPhone Bid Blast... I had put 5 sets of Bids... I never got to see the results... nor got notification for the same.... This is why your Bid Blast looks like an unrealistic campaign.
Just fooling users with fancy graphics.
No actual proof of event seem to be there.”
Now, they have integrated a tab called “my winnings” where each user can see… if they have won anything? or who has won…and how much was the winning bid.
Thank you CRED team whatever is there… but you listen to users. that’s the best thing… and maybe that’s why… your customers are loyal to you for the same reason.
THE CRED COINS
After thoughts:
In the CRED App you get Cred Coins By paying credit card
bills... See👇🏼
And they have another feature... called “Coins Generator”
But... What is the real value? 🤔
The purpose??
These coins are not like “Sodexo Coupons” yet... Are they... trying to be one???
If want to see it’s video here is the link to YouTube Short.👇🏼😌
