I have always wondered there are so many powerful Indian National World over and the have a huge influence not only the countries they are living and working…
They also have a great change making influence at their home country… that is India 🇮🇳.
In this post I am only going to focus on 3 such personalities.
Let’s start to getting to know the power and stature of these 3 people.
SUNDAR PICHAI
Sundar Pichai, born Pichai Sundararajan on June 10, 1972, in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India, is an Indian-American business executive who is the CEO of Alphabet Inc. and its subsidiary Google.
He has a notable educational background with a BTech from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, an MS from Stanford University, and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Pichai joined Google in 2004, where he led product management and innovation for Google’s client software products, including Google Chrome and Chrome OS. He also played a key role in the development of other applications such as Gmail and Google Maps.
In 2015, he was appointed CEO of Google, and in 2019, he became CEO of Alphabet Inc.
Throughout his career, Pichai has been recognized for his contributions to technology and business, including being named in Time’s annual list of the 100 most influential people in 2016 and 2020.
He was also awarded the Padma Bhushan, one of India’s highest civilian honors, in 2022.
Pichai's journey from his early life in a modest home in Chennai to leading one of the world's most influential tech companies is a testament to his leadership and vision in the field of technology.
SATYA NADELLA
Satya Nadella is an Indian -American business executive who has been serving as the Executive Chairman and CEO of Microsoft since 2014, succeeding Steve Ballmer as CEO and John W. Thompson as chairman.
Born on August 19, 1967, in Hyderabad, India, Nadella’s early life was marked by his education at the Hyderabad Public School, Begumpet, followed by a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the Manipal Institute of Technology.
Before joining Microsoft, Nadella worked at Sun Microsystems as a member of its technology staff.
At Microsoft, he has been instrumental in leading major projects, particularly the company’s move to cloud computing and the development of one of the largest cloud infrastructures in the world. Under his leadership, Microsoft’s cloud services revenue grew significantly, and he has been credited for transforming the company’s business and technology culture from client services to cloud infrastructure and services.
Nadella is known for his educational background, holding a master’s degree in computer science from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. His contributions to the tech industry have been recognized with various awards, including the Padma Bhushan, one of India’s highest civilian honors, in 2021.
He is also a board member of Starbucks and a trustee of his alma mater, the University of Chicago. Nadella’s vision and leadership have been pivotal in Microsoft’s growth and innovation in the tech industry.
DHRUV RATHEE
Dhruv Rathee is an Indian YouTuber, vlogger, and social media activist known for his content on social, political, and environmental issues.
Born on October 8, 1994, in Rohtak, Haryana, India, Rathee has gained a significant following for his videos that often include fact-checking and explanatory content.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology in Germany, where he also completed a master’s degree in renewable energy.
Rathee began his YouTube career by uploading travel videos in 2013 but soon shifted his focus towards political and social topics.
Rathee’s work has been recognized, and in 2023, he was included in TIME Magazine’s list of Next Generation Leaders.
He also runs a podcast on Spotify called "Maha Bharat with Dhruv Rathee" and hosts various shows, including DW Travel of Deutsche Welle and Decode with Dhruv of Netflix India.
As of March 2024, Dhruv Rathee has about 25.05 million subscribers across all his channels and a total of 4.1 billion video views.
His approach to discussing complex issues in a simplified manner has resonated with many, making him a prominent figure in digital content creation related to current affairs.

There are thousands of NRI who are living in their comfort zone.
If Dhruv Rathee wanted to do that he could have done the same and live peacefully.
